Industrial Promotion Services (West Africa) – IPS(WA) – is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The Aga Khan Development Network invests and operates in three broad sectors : economic development, social development and culture.

Founded and led by His Highness the Aga Khan, the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) brings together agencies, institutions and social welfare programmes that operate primarily in the poorest regions of Asia and Africa.

AKDN is a modern initiative of the Ismaili Imamat and its goal is to give concrete expression, through institutional action, to the ethical vision of society inspired by the message of Islam.

AKDN programmes are conducted without regard to creed, origin or gender.
